Kelby Weaver

Kelby Weaver
Medical Director

Dr. Weaver grew up in Sacramento Valley with a love for animals. As a youngster, she participated in 4H raising llamas, rabbits, goats, and chickens; she also raised puppies for Guide Dog for the Blind, Inc. With a love for chemistry and pharmacy medicine, Dr Weaver attended Mills College in Oakland CA for her undergraduate degree then attended a Masters degree program for Polymer Chemistry and Engineering. After the tragedy of September 11, 2001, Dr Weaver realized she needed to fulfill her lifelong passion, which was to work with companion animals and their people.

In 2011, Dr. Weaver graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Immediately out of school, she completed a year-long rotating specialty internship at VCA-San Francisco Veterinary Specialists. After spending considerable time in general practice providing all services (emergency medicine, preventative medicine, and surgery), Dr Weaver started to expand on her passion for dentistry and oral surgery.

In addition to spending thousands of hours studying and performing dentistry procedures, Dr. Weaver genuinely enjoys the relationships she's created with her patients and their owners. She is dedicated to developing trust with the owners and provide as much information possible so the owners can make the most-informed medical decisions.

Outside of work, Dr Weaver shares her home with her husband, her son, and her 4-legged babies:  Squirrel and Minnow, both teacup poodles, Riezl and Gertrude, both Standard Poodles, and, last but not least, her amazing Maine Coon cat, Siggi Meatloaf. Dr Weaver loves  spending time with her family, camping, reading, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, embroidery, sewing, playing Legos with her son, and enjoying life to the fullest.
